Company History « About Us

Over the past 35 years, Control Gaging Inc. has evolved to become a leading developer and supplier of in-process gaging systems through innovation and progressive thinking.

Founder Jack Brown started the Michigan-based company in 1972 to address an industry need for more sophisticated instruments to control automatic machinery and produce higher quality products. Even then, Control Gaging’s industrial pioneer recognized the need to improve performance and reduce setup time. He patented the quick setup Model 50 Gage that took in-process gaging to a new level of reliability and efficiency.

Since that first innovation, Control Gaging has continued to introduce patented gaging equipment that offers significant enhancement to the machining industry. Innovative thinking has led to continuous company growth with new products, expanded facilities and an expert team employed throughout North America and other parts of the world.
